THE ROLE
We are seeking a talented and experienced Assembly Technician to join our innovative team in the field of Direct Air Capture, to ensure that the final product meets the highest standards of (energy) efficiency, functionality, sustainability, and feasibility for mass production.
YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY
Collaborate with the DAC design team to comprehend project requirements and employ engineering principles to develop prototypes and (sub) system assemblies for DAC systems.
Commission/Test DAC prototypes by integrating mechanical and electrical components with precision, ensuring seamless fuctionality of subsystems.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives at Skytree by actively participating in ideation and collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish testing procedures, analyze results, and implement iterative enhancements to prototype functionality.
Collaborate closely with engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment with project objectives, while effectively communicating prototype design decisions, changes, and test outcomes to team members.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
At least a technically oriented High School / Associate degree level, or a related field.
A valid NEN 3140 certificate; a NEN 1010 certificate is a plus.
Proven experience in rapid prototyping techniques, prototype development, and specifically in creating mechanical and electrical assemblies.
Good understanding of mechanical and electrical drawing and diagrams, to effectively and accurately translate these into electrical cabinet and mechanical assemblies.
Strongly preferred is experience with, specifically:
Vacuum systems
Airchannels/ducting
Installation of (gas/liquid) piping
Electromechanical assemblies such as actuators/sensors
Forklift/scissorlift license
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
