Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in food preparation and cooking.
- Ensure that food is prepared to the highest quality, presentation, and taste standards.
- Help manage the kitchen during service, ensuring efficient and smooth operations.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Assist in managing stock levels and maintaining inventory.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met and upheld at all times.
- Support with menu preparation, daily specials, and recipe execution.
- Train and support junior kitchen staff as needed.
- Help with prep work, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook or kitchen assistant in a similar environment is a plus.
- A genuine passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and eagerness to contribute to the team.
