Purpose of the role
As Director, you will lead the global audit portfolio for asset management operations and technology, while owning the strategic and operational planning activities for the AM internal audit function. This includes oversight of audit planning, resource management and manpower planning, performance tracking, methodology, and transformation initiatives.
You will serve as a senior leader in the audit leadership team, act as delegate for the Chief Auditor when required, and represent internal audit in interactions with senior business leaders and external stakeholders.

Core Tasks and Responsibilities – Audit Director
Audit Execution – Global Ops & Technology
Provide oversight of the annual plan for assigned area of responsibility (Global Operations, Information Technology).
- Lead audits of global and regional asset management operations, including middle and back-office processes, third-party administration, fund accounting, and outsourcing.
- Lead cross-border reviews of global shared services, operating models, and outsourcing frameworks, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Oversee audits of IT risks, including IT general controls (ITGC), cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, data governance, and change management.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with global COO, Heads of IT, relevant subject matter experts, and other assurance providers like risk, compliance and external audit
Strategic Planning & Operations
- Support the Chief Auditor in developing and maintaining the annual risk assessment, audit universe, and multi-year audit plan.
- Support the Chief Auditor with all staffing matters including (but not limited to) recruitment and retention, resource management and manpower planning, training and development.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), audit delivery metrics, issue aging, and resource utilisation.
- Prepare and coordinate inputs for senior governance forums, including the Audit Committee and Group Internal Audit reporting.
- Lead internal quality assurance activities, support methodology updates, and manage alignment with Group audit standards.
- Be an advocate for innovation driving the adoption of audit technology, continuous monitoring, artificial intelligence, data analytics and other emerging technologies within the function.
- Foster and maintain relationships with Group Audit and other affiliate internal audit teams to the benefit of the function,
Skills, Qualifications & Other Requirements – Audit Director
Essential
- 15+ years of internal audit experience in asset management or financial services, with increasing management responsibilities
- Strong understanding of global asset management business models, including front-to-back investment processes, fund administration, and regulatory expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional audits and influence senior stakeholders across jurisdictions.
- Strong executive presence to interact effectively with top level senior management

Experience in managing or supporting audit planning, reporting, or methodology enhancement in a leadership capacity.
Desirable
- Familiarity with audit analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, SQL, Python, Power BI) and continuous assurance concepts.
- Exposure to strategic audit initiatives such as automation, resourcing models, or regulatory inspections.

Experience working in a federated or matrixed audit environment.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or management information systems, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred additional qualifications: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or related certification
