Function
As Cluster Manager, you are responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of operations at the various sites in Bergen op Zoom. You are accountable for the optimal performance of all departments, ongoing quality improvement initiatives, retention and morale, customer satisfaction, and KPI delivery.
- You maintain and analyze key metrics of the distribution and fulfillment center; enhance departmental performance indicators by using and interpreting continuous improvement tools.
- You assist in preparing the annual cluster budget based on business forecasts and leadership direction; achieve optimal performance and cost levels to meet the annual budget plan.
- You ensure consistent application and enforcement of approved company policies, procedures, practices, and methods, in line with corporate and governmental regulations and policies.
- You communicate with customers, including addressing concerns and business development; MBRs/QBRs.
- You manage and coordinate various programs essential to the cluster's procedures for site management, warehouse managers, supervisors, and team leaders.
- You establish productivity, accuracy, and safety targets for the department, track progress toward these goals, and communicate progress to employees to achieve breakthrough performance, KPI tracking, and monitoring.
- You maximize service, cost, and quality performance of the cluster operations by continuously reviewing and improving all aspects of operations.
- You are responsible for all risk management at the various sites, including health, safety, and environment.
- You ensure and manage contract renewals.
- You actively contribute to our continuous improvement environment within the cluster.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience;
- You have 7+ years of broad experience in (contract) logistics, warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, and supply chain management;
- You have 7+ years of a proven track record in a Site Manager position;
- You possess data analysis and presentation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project;
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills in a multicultural business environment;
- You are a natural connector between the customer, operations, and support teams;
- You are a natural leader with a strong focus on developing driven individuals and building successful (autonomous) teams;
- You are confident and comfortable managing important international (American) accounts, while respecting the value of long-term partnerships;
- You are capable of quickly building trust within your teams as well as with your leadership; you know how to strike the right balance between distance and control.
