The Team
The purpose of the Procurement team is to focus on all indirect (non-merchandise) purchases and function as an internal consultant for the rest of the organization. This includes sourcing, contracting, supplier management, operations and reporting; ensuring products and services meet the required standards and/or specifications set by the business, and are cost effective. As a result, the team is responsible for partnering with functional operational leads and the Controlling department, to efficiently manage the Opex spend and some re-occurring Capex expenditure. The Procurement function plays a crucial role in identifying external spend and cost-saving opportunities, reducing expenses in line with functional needs, enhancing expenditure to be more focused and effective.
The Team collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand business need e.g., Brand Marketing, Operations SC&L, and with other functions such as IT, for example on the adoption of business-facing technology and systems. In addition, the team works with Business Finance to understand overheads and margins, and with EMEA Hub Teams to provide clear guidelines that govern local buying.
They also research the market for new vendors that can deliver valuable services/goods to PVH and in collaboration with the business ensure vendor performance. Additionally, there is a strong focus on enabling our vendors to help implement our company’s sustainability targets.
