Introduction to the job
We are seeking an experienced Domain Architect within IT R&D – Product IT & BL Apps. Our department provides a diverse set of IT services to both D&E and CS, including managed operations for VCP, components for EPS, customer connectivity (BRES, ABRES, BRES+), software distribution (Raptor, Patchmail), custom development of tools for CS, and development tooling for BL Apps and infrastructure (VM hosting, K8S hosting, VDIs, etc.).
The role is positioned within IT R&D – Product IT Specialty services, consisting of multiple teams with diverse services such as on-prem Kubernetes hosting, patch distribution services, managed service devices, product security, and data analytics. This role requires a strong background in both infrastructure and affinity with application architecture.
Role and responsibilities
As a Domain Architect, you will collaborate closely with the department architect and tech leads across various teams to drive our technological vision forward. You'll oversee the infrastructure architecture for a subset of products & services, you'll ensure our services are secure by design, have a fit within the ASML IT landscape, and align with business objectives.
As Domain Architect within IT R&D – Product IT & BL Apps you'll:
Define and maintain the technical roadmap for our infrastructure services in collaboration with the department architects
Create Architecture Documentation, including High- and Low-Level Design Documentation and Architectural Models (ArchiMate)
Ensure the ‘technical fit’ of products and services within the overall ASML IT and business landscape
Collaborate with various teams, product owners, and technical leads to provide the necessary architectural support
Align with stakeholders (business architects, delivery managers, fellow architects, application owners, and application architects, vendors/suppliers).
Manage and be aware of Technical Debt in solutions and their impact on roadmaps
Participate in the ASML IT Architecture Competence
Align technically with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Education and experience
To help us tackle the technical challenges we face, you’ll need experience working on High Tech products and with complex processes. As Domain Architect - Product IT Infrastructure, you’ll need:
Master’s Degree (or equivalent) combination of education and experience, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years of experience in relevant architecture and/or solution architecture roles
Experience with ArchiMate and TOGAF
Relevant experience in software, cloud, network, and/or security architecture.
Experience with cloud migrations and cyber security is a plus

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
