The role:
Recharge is looking for an Engineering Manager who is passionate about people and technology, with a strong focus on empowering teams to thrive and deliver impact. This person will play a key role in shaping and scaling new platforms, driving technical excellence while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. We’re seeking a leader who is motivated by building high-performing teams, guiding engineers in their growth, and partnering across the business to create innovative solutions that will drive Recharge’s future growth.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage data, mobile and engineering teams, ensuring efficient team operations and project delivery. This includes recruiting, hiring, mentoring and providing career development opportunities for team members.
Help the team with prioritisation. Assisted in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring the team adopted best practices in software engineering.
Oversee project timelines and deliverables. Ensure resources are allocated efficiently and projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Work closely with other departments to improve cross-functional workflows and communication.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organisation, including providing regular updates on team progress, project challenges, and technological advancements.
Oversee the utilisation of modern platforms and technologies, ensuring they are leveraged effectively to maximise the value the engineering teams deliver.

AWS, NestJS, Node.js, React, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Typescript, Gitlab, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DBT, Playwright, Postman, Jest, etc.
Who We're Looking For:
Hands-on experience with our tech stack in live production environments.
Proven track record in delivering impactful, large-scale web experiences.
Experienced in guiding and supporting teams of skilled software engineers.
Strong people management, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communicator, able to connect with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborative and empowering, ready to embrace challenges and contribute to strategic decisions.
