OLD SCUOLA PIZZA
We make Neapolitan style influenced pizza. We work with local suppliers, we are innovative and we are keen on tradition but won’t hesitate to wipe our feet on it to make things better. We see dough as science and pizza as a dish.
For our location in Rotterdam centre we have a wood fired shared dining concept. Focussed on wood fired pizza’s with additional small dishes from the kitchen during dinner from Wednesday/Sunday. We serve our food with a loose edge but in very high quality.
The company (excisting of 3 restaurants at the moment) is runned by creative millennials with the intention to open multiple restaurants in upcoming years. For that reason we are building an army of intrinsic motivated pizza crew, floor crew and a solid layer of management. Which means lots of opportunity for the excisting crew to grow.

WHO ARE YOU?
We are looking for an experienced head pizza chef for our location in Rotterdam centre. You have intrinsic motivation, in the heat of the moment you are there to guide your team to perfection in service & deliver next level pizza from our Stefano ferrara ovens, this is where your strength is. You are a team manager, have good experience as a pizza chef/kitchen manager, organisation of the kitchen is what you are good at. has a good control over HACCP. You are good and respectfull in communication as well as with your team as the rest of the team on the floor. You do not have a big ego and always try to motivate your team to get the most out of them and let them grow in their role.
SKILLS
- Quality: No concessions, quality is always number 1 focus. From mise en place, to making pizza to managing a spotless & clean kitchen.
- Organisation: You are a true chef with overview during service, can guide your team into delivering a next level product and can bring out the best in your team.
- You are able to let people work for you and get them motivated.
- You don’t talk, you act!
- You speak at least English. Preferably dutch as well.
What will you be doing:
- Managing your team under & after service. You are the example.
- Make schedules for the kitchen & maintaining staff costs versus revenue.
- Work as a pizza chef during service & after.
- Manage & make the costing of the dishes we serve.
- Manage the purchase numbers of the kitchen.
- Manage holiday leaves, sickness etc. of your team,
- You take responsibility of the HACCP rules and clean workspot.
- Making sure everyone looks sharp and everyone is on the same page.
