WE ARE LOOKING FOR A HOSTEL EMPLOYEE

Work at the coolest spots in Amsterdam: Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark & Stayokay Amsterdam Stadsdoelen.Our largest hostel, right in the Vondelpark, also houses restaurant The 5th with its open kitchen and delicious food. The newly renovated Stadsdoelen sits on the lively Kloveniersburgwal canal and has a laid-back, cozy living-room vibe—welcoming backpackers from all over the world.

As part of our team, you’ll meet unique people every day and hear their amazing stories.
Do you want to be part of these special places in the heart of Amsterdam? We’re looking for a receptionist and bartender at Amsterdam Vondelpark and Stadsdoelen.

You are...

• going to welcome guests with your biggest smile at both Vondelpark and Stadsdoelen, checking them in and out like it’s second nature and keeping the front office running smoothly during your shift.
• going to become best friends with our PMS reservation system, used for both groups and solo adventurers.
• going to answer guest questions across different channels.
• to work closely with colleagues from other departments.
• going to roll up your sleeves for the occasional small cleaning tasks when needed.
• going to support your colleagues and make sure every day is a new adventure—from bar shifts to keeping the “zen” during check-in rush hour. No day is the same and that’s just how you like it!
• going to spoil our guests at the bar and reception. From serving a cold drink to having a good chat, you’re going to be the soul of the hostel (or: the bringer of good vibes / the face of the hostel).
• going to keep the bar stocked and shining at both locations, while crafting the best coffee in town.
• Occasionally going to work a breakfast shift at Vondelpark, making sure the early birds start their day off right.

You have...

• a great talent for multitasking. Three things at once? No problem — you stay cool even when things get hectic.
• the insider knowledge of a true local, always ready with the coolest tips for curious guests.
• no hospitality experience? No stress! We’ll teach you how to make that perfect coffee.
• a good command of English (Dutch is a plus).
an open mind, drive and a passion for sustainability!
