Key Responsibilities:
Daily Tasks
- Staff Assignments: Allocate tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping staff while ensuring adequate shift coverage and recruitment.
- Supervision: Oversee staff performance during shifts, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Training: Organize training sessions for new hires and ongoing training for current staff to enhance skills.
- Reporting & Administration: Process hours worked, productivity data, and quality reports.
Weekly Tasks
- Quality Checks: Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms to ensure cleaning standards are upheld and address inconsistencies.
- Training and Development: Plan and execute training based on performance analysis, introducing new cleaning procedures.
- Feedback Sessions: Provide constructive feedback to improve performance and acknowledge exceptional work.
Monthly Tasks
- Performance Reviews: Evaluate staff performance, set goals, and identify improvement areas.
- Stock Management: Perform monthly stock counts and reorder supplies as necessary.
Qualifications And Skills:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the housekeeping department of a hotel or similar establishment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment used in the hospitality industry, along with an understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures related to housekeeping.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for scheduling, inventory management, and reporting.
- Ability to professionally and promptly address and resolve guest issues or complaints.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
