Objective
Daily tasks
- Receiving and storing linens and other housekeeping-related deliveries: responsible for the daily storage and distribution of linens and other products to the service closets on the different floors of the hotel.
- Lifting and carrying linens and towels: transporting linens from the linen room to the floors and vice versa.
- Replenishing water supplies on the floors: delivering water for our guests from storage on the ground floor to the various floors of the hotel.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the front and back of the hotel: together with the team, ensuring the cleanliness of corridors, walls, windows, shared sanitary facilities, and the street areas around the hotel.
- Restocking work supplies: working with the team to replenish work supplies on a daily basis.
- Cleaning staff common areas: jointly responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of staff areas used daily.
- Adjusting rooms on guest requests: making last-minute adjustments to room setups (e.g., beds) when requested by guests.
Teamwork and collaboration
As a Houseman, you work together with a team of housekeepers. You are supervised by the Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Manager but operate independently while maintaining respectful collaboration. The division of tasks between Housekeepers and Housemen is clearly defined, but together you ensure smooth and efficient operations—keeping supplies in service closets organized, and linen rooms, waste areas, and other common areas tidy.
Besides teamwork within the housekeeping department, cooperation with other hotel departments is essential to provide guests with excellent quality and service that exceed their expectations. This involves collaboration and communication with other operational departments, such as Maintenance, Front Office, and Food & Beverage.

- Proficiency in Dutch, Spanish, or English.

- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying linens, towels, water, cleaning products, shower amenities for guests, and room service trays.
- Stress-resistant and able to act effectively in unexpected situations.
- Good planning, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail, cleanliness, and hygiene.
- Willingness to work flexible days, including weekends.
- Working hours: The role requires flexibility in working days and hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on operational needs.
- Physical demands: Be prepared for physical work, standing, moving, and walking throughout a full 7.5-hour shift.
- Work environment: Hotel rooms and corridors.
