Your role in the story
The HSE department manages all HSE queries, reporting, and programs for the company across our offices, yards, and vessels, serving all HMC departments and business units in dynamic environments. The HSE Management Assistant is the central point of contact for the HSE department, supporting reporting, communications, and the support of key programs including the Behavioral Based Safety program “Dare to Care.” You will liaise with all departments, Heerema assets, third parties, and report to the Manager HSE.

Responsibilities
- Supporting and assisting the HSE department and Manager HSE
- Act as central point of contact for the HSE department
- Prepare company-wide HSE reporting
- Coordinate HSE communications, branding, and campaigns
- Actively support existing HSE systems (SharePoint, SAP, etc.)
- Provide support and coordination for the “Dare to Care” program
HSE Tasks
- Maintain and update (SharePoint) databases and general HSE filing
- TRACE platform management and support
- Process incident reporting in TRACE
- Prepare monthly HSE statistics in TRACE
- Assist with HSE systems development and improvement
- Maintenance of HSE Intranet and Internet content
- Prepare and distribute HSE communications (IMCA flashes, HSE flashes, Safety moments, SSLT minutes, etc.)
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, HSE events, training, and campaigns
- Handle general queries for the HSE department and HSE / Safety officers
- Process, distribute, and improve documentation and correspondence
- Provide tender and project HSE assistance on a case-by-case basis
- Provide general secretarial support towards the department: organize travel, host visitors, book resources, manage agendas
Dare to Care Tasks
- Organize and support DtC training logistics
- Support maintenance and update DtC program content
- Coordinate and support DtC-related communication efforts
- Schedule and coordinate DtC steering team meetings
- Organize Dare to Care recognition efforts and nominations
- Manage DtC merchandise and promotional materials
- Provide operational support during Safety Days and other key DtC events
Job requirements
As a HSE Department assistant you are proactive and committed. You know how to interpret HSE needs and can translate this into (practical) processes / actions. Furthermore, you have:
Vocational level;
- A minimum of 2-4 years relevant working experience in a similar role;
- All-round knowledge of MS Office, experience with SAP / SharePoint is an advantage;
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English both written and spoken;
- An accurate and flexible attitude;
- You are a team player and intrinsically motivated to learn more about HSE;
- A pro-active and a hands-on mentality.
