Internship Overview:
As an intern at the Sensor Actuator System Design department, Flow division of the R&D group, you will be engaged in an exciting and challenging project that contribute to the development and enhancement of our innovative measurement systems.
Assignment:
The key assignment is to develop and optimize the housing and clamping mechanism of our data acquisition module and sensors. •
- Conceptualize and design a robust housing for holding two ultrasonic transducers;
- Ensure the housing allows for adjustable positioning to achieve various distances between the transducers or designing multiple non-adjustable housing to achieve the various distances;
- Develop detailed design drawings for the housing using CAD software;
- Collaborate with the electronics and physics teams to ensure integration and functionality.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks);
- Knowledge of material properties and selection. o Understanding of mechanical design principles.
- Communication and teamwork skills;
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks;
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
At the end of the internship, prepare a report detailing the designs, methodologies, and any recommendations for future improvements.
Regular evaluations will be conducted by your supervisor to provide feedback and assess your performance based on the quality of your work, adherence to timelines, and overall contribution to the projects.
