You will be part of the Payroll Monks. The payroll team at .Monks consists of 3 employees and is part of the Finance team. The Payroll Monks are responsible for the payroll processing of 1000+ internal employees in the Netherlands, UK, Germany, Sweden, South Africa, Dubai, Egypt and Poland. Dutch and UK employees are processed inhouse with the use of ADP and Ceridian while the rest is outsourced to third-party payroll providers
The (jr.) Payroll Specialist role is based in Hilversum (NL) and reports to the Payroll Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our HR Generalists to make sure the monthly changes are collected and processed accurately.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all data reporting and payroll transactions. Validate payroll information using our HRIS tool and provide payroll information to internal- and external teams on a monthly and ad-hoc basis.
- Process and consolidate data and generate reports for the Finance team.
- Staying up to date with laws and regulations and ensuring our payroll processes are compliant.
- Assist with implementation of new entities and their payroll processes.
- Contributing to process documentation and improvement, as well as building a future-proof finance and reporting structure.
About you
The essentials
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role (this can also be BackOffice related).
- Strong communication skills in English (both oral and written).
- Excel skills.
- A degree in Economics.
- Comfortable with and interested in Finance and numbers.
- Full-time (40 hours) availability.
Not a must, but a plus:
- PDL or VPS certificate.
- Experience with international (EMEA) payroll processing.
- Knowledge of Global View and Dayforce.
- Knowledge of relevant Dutch laws and regulations.
