The Manager, Channel Sales is responsible for leading and supervising a team of Channel Sales professionals, providing strategic direction, guidance, and support to ensure revenue growth through effective partnerships with resellers, distributors, and other external entities. This role focuses on executing channel strategies, achieving sales targets, and fostering strong relationships with channel partners. The role is based in the Netherlands and will cover the Nordics and Benelux region, with the Manager leading a team to drive regional success. The Manager will work collaboratively across departments to ensure alignment with company objectives while playing an instrumental role in optimizing channel processes and developing the team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a team of Channel Sales professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and support to drive team performance and success across the Nordics and Benelux region.
- Develop and execute channel sales strategies to achieve revenue, market share, and partner growth objectives.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key channel partners in the Nordics and Benelux, serving as their primary point of contact for performance management and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and sales operations, to support channel initiatives.
- Analyze channel sales performance metrics and KPIs, providing insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership to optimize channel effectiveness.
- Drive partner recruitment and onboarding efforts, ensuring alignment with the company’s target markets and product portfolio.
- Manage negotiations of contracts and agreements with channel partners, optimizing pricing, terms, and conditions to ensure mutual success.
- Represent the company at channel-related events and forums across the Nordics and Benelux, promoting brand awareness and cultivating relationships.
- Ensure staff are equipped with proper training, tools, and expertise to effectively sell and promote F5’s products and solutions.
- Exhibit principles of F5’s Business Code of Ethics and ensure adherence to company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of successful channel sales experience in the technology industry.
- 3+ years in a leadership role, directly managing individual contributors.
- Demonstrated ability in executing both two-tiered and direct channel sales models.
- Solid knowledge of internetworking infrastructure, cloud, and security technologies.
- Proven experience driving channel expansion and successfully recruiting new partners.
- Degree or relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Expertise in negotiation, influencing, and solution selling, especially at the executive level.
- The ability to excel with minimal supervision, taking initiative, and adapting to changing circumstances.
- Familiarity with the Nordics and Benelux market trends and partner ecosystems is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Duties are primarily performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or working with a computer.
- Prolonged periods of computer use and interaction over communication devices, such as telephones, are required.
- Some tasks may require working outside regular hours, including evenings or weekends.
