This is not your standard office manager role – it’s a position with variety, independence, and real impact.

You will be the link between our team and management, the welcoming face to visitors, the colleague who makes the office feel like home, and the person who ensures everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. All of this takes place in a very exciting and flexible working environment, where a working day is never the same and where you’ll be surrounded by passionate colleagues about wind, technology, kites and sustainability.

You will organize team and external events, support the CEO with prioritising activities, handle daily finance, support HR processes such as recruitment and onboarding new colleagues, arrange travels for colleagues, and manage communications with external partners. This dynamic role allows you to take ownership, bring in your own ideas, and grow together with our fast-evolving company. Together with you, we are building a renewable future – starting in our office.

About Kitepower

Kitepower is on a mission to contribute to a more sustainable world by flying kites generating electricity. Founded as a spin-out of Delft University of Technology, we are developing our first commercial system to power farms, construction sites and (island)communities with renewable airborne wind energy. We have entered our next growth phase where we transition from a research & development organization to a market-facing product organization. Job Tasks

  • Plan internal and external meetings
  • Daily financial administration and reporting
  • First point of contact for external guests and partners (phone, email, visits)
  • Manage the CEO’s mailbox/calendar and update on priorities
  • Schedule meetings and calls, ensure follow-ups on tasks
  • Organizational tasks like planning events and travels
  • Coordinating HR processes
  • General office needs

Job Profile

  • Background in office management, executive assistance or a similar role
  • Strong problem-solving attitude with attention to details
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Fluent/native in English and Dutch
  • Confidence with office related software
  • Good communication, responsibility and organization skills
  • Flexible, independence and the ability to take initiative
  • Affinity with startups, sustainability and innovative environments

Extra Assets

  • Working experience in a related field
  • Passion for kite/surfing/flying/sailing
