We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Operations Laboratory Manager to lead one of our two Operational Laboratory teams. As an Operations Laboratory Manager, you will be at the forefront of laboratory operations, leading a team of skilled laboratory technicians and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable analytical services to our internal and external customers. You'll oversee the planning and execution of daily lab operations while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise lab activities to ensure timely and accurate test results.
- Manage outsourcing decisions to optimize costs and turnaround time.
- Lead, coach, and support the daily work of lab technicians.
- Set clear expectations, provide training, and nurture a high-performance culture.
- Work closely with analysts and department leads to resolve challenges and meet evolving support needs.
- Implement and uphold SOPs in line with regulatory standards (GLP, ISO).
- Monitor key performance indicators and handle operational escalations.
- Collect feedback and lead initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Drive optimization and innovation of lab processes and technologies.
- Develop and validate new analytical methods to improve efficiency.
- Ensure optimal planning of lab resources to meet workload fluctuations.
Job Requirements:
- BSc or MSc degree in life sciences, analytical/biological chemistry or a related field.
- At least 5 years of operational lab experience, including 2+ years in a managerial role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as Chromatography and ICP
- Fluent in both Dutch and English communication.
- Systematic, accurate, and highly collaborative
- Comfortable working with new digital tools and systems.
- Proactive, self-driven, and results oriented.
