A day in the life
At Prologis, The Development management team delivers about $6 billion worth of projects annually and is constantly looking for opportunities to innovate and improve portfolio performance. Reporting into the Global Planning, Performance, and Innovation team (PPI), this role will be responsible for working with Prologis teams and its partners maximize value, minimize costs, create efficiencies, and improve productivity of developments. The Optimization Manager will work with leadership and development teams across Europe to implement innovative tools and systems to further accelerate project execution and reduce costs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement targeted solutions to enhance team performance and project execution.
- Lead process improvement efforts in collaboration with cross-functional and regional stakeholders and resolve complex challenges.
- Champion global knowledge sharing and cross-regional collaboration to leverage best practices and foster innovation.
- Facilitate project review meetings to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
- Optimize schedules and rapidly mitigate delays through advanced schedule management, technology integration, and collaborative planning.
- Analyze project schedules, lead coordination meetings, and facilitate pull planning sessions to eliminate constraints and improve delivery outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and teams to align priorities and ensure successful project and initiative outcomes across cultural, functional, and geographic boundaries.
- Collect and synthesize project data to support decision-making and promote data-driven performance improvements.
- Identify and evaluate innovative construction methods, materials, and technologies that enhance project value, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
Building blocks for success
Required:
- 5+ years of professional experience in construction or real estate development with a proven track record in project execution, process improvement, or lean construction practices.
- Travel 50% of time at various project locations, focused in Europe.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience working on international or cross-regional teams within a global organization is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills to guide teams through process changes, planning sessions, and improvement workshops.
- Fluency in English is required, additional languages a plus.
