Platform Ops Engineer
9-12 months FTC

Job Description:
You will be a part of the platform operations team providing L1 support to a client working in specified business hours
Need a professional with strong skillet to ensure production related activities are delivered as per SLA. Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented L1 Support Engineer to provide first-level technical support across enterprise platforms including SAP, Databricks, AWS, and Power BI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring services, triaging tickets, executing SOP-based tasks, managing user requests, handling data injections, and maintaining dashboards.
Role responsibilities:
Monitoring & Incident Management
- Monitor system health and performance across SAP, Databricks, AWS, and Power BI environments.
- Identify and escalate anomalies, service disruptions, and performance issues.
- Perform initial triage of incoming tickets and route to appropriate teams if needed.
Request & Ticket Management
- Handle user requests and service tickets in accordance with defined SLAs.
- Document issues, resolutions, and escalation paths in the ticketing system.
- Communicate effectively with users to gather information and provide updates.
SOP-Based Operations
- Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) for routine tasks such as backups, restarts, and scheduled jobs.
- Maintain logs and records of SOP executions and outcomes.
Data Operations & Injections
- Perform data injections and updates in SAP and Databricks as per business requirements.
- Validate data integrity post-injection and report discrepancies.
Dashboard & Reporting Support
- Monitor and maintain Power BI dashboards for accuracy and performance.
- Assist in updating and publishing dashboards based on business inputs.
- Support data refresh cycles and troubleshoot visualization issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical skills:
Basic understanding of SAP modules and transaction flows.
- Familiarity with Databricks notebooks and workspace operations.
- Exposure to AWS services like EC2, S3, CloudWatch.
- Experience with Power BI dashboards and data sources.
- ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Version control and documentation tools.
Non-technical skills:
- Knowledge of service support, operation & design processes (ITIL)
- Experience working in ServiceNow is preferred.
- Attention to detail a must, with focus on quality and accuracy.
- Able to handle multiple tasks with appropriate priority and strong time management skills.
- Flexible about work content and enthusiastic to learn.
- Strong relationship skills to work with multiple stakeholders across organizational and business boundaries at all levels
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification (Basis/Foundational) or training in SAP, AWS, or Power BI.
- Prior client experience in a support or operations role in a cloud or data-driven environment.
