Your role and work environment
COO Finance (COOF) is an independent unit reporting into ING’s CFO and COO. It is accountable for eecuting ING Finance and COO strategy to evolve towards one global digital bank. The COOF mission is to enable ecellence in Finance with real-time business insights, derived from state-of-the-art technologies, optimal use of data and highly effective operations.
The DGS team is part of the Tribe Granular Reporting within COOF and you will be working with a diverse and distributed team across colleagues in the Netherlands and Manila. You will play a key role in driving backlog management, stakeholder alignment, and data-driven solution design, while fostering a collaborative and psychologically safe team environment. As part of the MT Granular Reporting Tribe, you actively contribute to the broader team discussions which will focus on making COOF data and reporting move to a sustainable data driven feature. You will closely work together with the relevant circles colleagues within COOF.
Key responsibilities
- Lead backlog refinement and planning of epics, features, and stories;
- Set priorities and manage sprint changes;
- Participate in 1:1 calls with international locations to align on delivery;
- Represent the team in QBRs to communicate data requirements;
- Translate technical and data challenges into clear, business-friendly language;
- Use Azure Boards to manage and track progress;
- Facilitate team retro’s, focusing on: Clarity, Energy, Psychological safety, Work-life balance, Confidence, Efficiency.
You demonstrate a hands-on, practical mentality:
- Work with granular data and data models to support business needs;
- Collaborate with IT and architecture teams to design scalable solutions;
- Create detailed designs for developers and support testing activities;
- Provide evidence and documentation for auditors (e.g., walkthroughs);
- Preferably be able to work hands-on with SQL for data analysis and validation;
- Preferably bring knowledge of DGS (Deposit Guarantee Scheme).

Furthermore, you have:
- Current residency in the Netherlands and strong communication skills in English (Dutch language is a pre);
- University (Bachelor’s/Master’s) degree in (business) economics or a comparable field; Hands-on knowledge about data manipulation (mainly SQL, Microsoft E
- cel, PowerBI);
- Thorough understanding on logical and technical data modeling, data quality, data reporting and data governance;
- Understanding of (retail) banking products, especially those part of Deposit Guarantee Scheme; E
- perience with IT change processes (development, testing, change management, ITIL); E
- cellent communication skills, both written as well as verbally able to reach consensus.
