DP World is looking for a Production Manager for our logistics site in Tilburg, The Netherlands. The manufacturing department's success strongly relies on the Production Manager’s commitment, knowledge of manufacturing process, basic competences, and soft skills. The ideal candidate is reliable, stress-resistant, focused on production improvements and targets, and has the ability to build a safe and friendly atmosphere where the team can thrive. The Production Manager collaborates closely with other teams and support units, building strong relationships with stakeholders and customers. This role reports to the Operations Manager and leads a team of three supervisors, two planners, and indirectly approximately 50 production workers.

- Building a strong, motivated, and self-managing team that delivers results.
- Keeping track of quality performance, upholding the highest manufacturing standards.
- Monitoring production achievements and reviewing them with the team to facilitate improvements.
- Reporting and analyzing production efficiency and KPIs, understanding contracts and rate cards to build a strong P&L.
- Building strong relationships and representing DP World in contact with customers and acting on potential new business opportunities.
- Leading the team to achieve all production objectives and targets, while managing continuous process improvement.
- Managing efficient resource planning by maintaining forecasts and translating them to required resources to uphold the highest cost-effectiveness and quality levels.
- Conducting team meetings and organizing daily/weekly workforce briefings to ensure clear understanding of company expectations, including follow-up on actions.
- Ensuring compliance with all work instructions, H&S and Safe Systems of Work, with support from the QEHS team to deliver a culture of safety and safe working practices.
- Ensuring thorough investigation and conclusion of all accidents/incidents with robust actions.
- Monitoring sickness absences and ensuring the sickness absence database is updated correctly.
- Striving to provide full absence staff cover and succession planning.
- Ensuring that all direct reports have annual PMP and reviews, identifying training needs, and planning training schedules.
- Providing support in financial and budgeting reviews, translating them to operations to build operational financial awareness.
- Reporting all production results to the Operations Manager.
What you will bring
Hard skills
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Logistical or Manufacturing Operations as a leader.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), and Production/Quality Management Systems is required.
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence capabilities and translating Operational performance into reports, overviews, and dashboards.
- You speak and write fluent English; additional languages are a bonus, particularly Dutch.
