For the Planning team in Schunk Xycarb Technology, we are looking for a Production Planner.
Production Planner
What are your main responsibilities?
As Production Planner at Schunk Xycarb Technology you are occupied with monitoring and adjusting the production plan drawn up by/with fellow planners taking into account capacity and material availability. This so that orders can be delivered complete and on time on the agreed date. Your daily tasks will consist of:
- Shopfloor scheduling for multiple production facilities both domestically and internationally;
- Follow up and monitor progress of production orders, you adjust or escalate as needed;
- Monitoring new products (NPI) for the Mechanical Machining Department (MBA) and Thermo Chemical Department (TCA);
- Maintain planning information in the ERP system (SAP ECC);
- Process and communicate consequences of revised schedules to stakeholders;
- Analyze daily/weekly reports and where necessary you will initiate corrective actions;
- Initiating, coordinating and implementing improved methods, procedures and systems to monitor processes;
- You will act as a trouble shooter to sort out and resolve questions related to production planning, bookings, routings, etc;
- Participation in product and logistics improvement projects.
What are your skills?
For this position it is important that you can work accurate and structured and have a results- and customer-oriented way of working. Other desired skills for this position are:
- A Bachelor degree in Logistics or Technical Business Administration;
- Experience in planning complex production facilities;
- Understanding of market demand, market trends, production methods and processes;
- Experience with production control techniques such as Lean Manufacturing;
- Knowledge of SAP ECC and the Office package with an emphasis on Excel;
- A good command of the English language (written and spoken).
