KASSL Editions was founded in Amsterdam in 2018, originally inspired by an old fisherman’s coat—valued for its genderless design, functionality, and uncompromising quality. As a response to excess and overproduction, the brand established its manufacturing in Kassel, Germany—home to the Documenta art festival—using the same facilities that produce high-performance outerwear for the German fire brigade. Since then, KASSL has evolved into a multidisciplinary label, expanding its collections to include bags, accessories, and select homeware.
Production & Sustainability intern
We are looking for a production & sustainability intern to contribute to the growth of KASSL Editions. You will support the Production / Operations Manager with all possible activities of the daily operations. Daily activities on the production side consist of sourcing, chasing and tracking the fabric - and production orders from supplier to factory, to make sure the KASSL orders are delivered on time in full.
Hereby you will be in close contact with both suppliers, factories, and customers, aiming for the best price, lead times and deliveries. You will also support the operational order process, quality – and/or information requests from the wholesale partners, to make sure the products are well received by partners and end-consumers. Next to that, as KASSL Editions is B-Corp certified, you will support us in executing our Sustainability Strategy, throughout the different teams, but with the focus on the sustainability within sampling and production process. For example, you will be responsible for creating full transparency in the production process and materials for the newest collections, plus searching for sustainable alternatives.
We are looking for a flexible organizational talent with self-discipline. Not a single day is the same at KASSL. The challenge for you will be to structure busy and hectic situations. In addition, you have commercial flair and a strong customer-centred approach.
