JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.
The QHSE Coordinator is tasked with the implementation and oversight of the JAS QHSE & Sustainability standards for their assignment region/country/branch. They are responsible for guiding the local safety committees and acting as the liaison between the US QHSE Manager and the branches in the respective areas for all matters involving Quality, Health and Safety, and Sustainability.
Health and Safety
Ensure all QHSE records for the region are completed on time and available in Teams:
- Safety Meeting records
- Warehouse Toolbox Meetings
- Forklift Inspection Reports and Service Receipts
- Scale calibration receipts and certificates
- HSE Compliance Audit Quarterly
- Monthly Safety Topic Meeting/Email
- Risk Assessments
- Office/Warehouse Safety Guidelines/ Ergonomic Forms
- Ensure Emergency Response Procedure is in place and reviewed at least annually.
- Schedule and perform annual Fire/Spill Drills and evacuation. Upload report and roster.
- Schedule and upload records of fire alarms and sprinkler inspections/testing
- Schedule and upload records of fire extinguisher inspections
- Schedule and upload records of first aid kid inspections
- Ensure SDS are current and kept with cargo and in a centralized area for easy access.
Attend monthly US QHSE Committee meetings Attend monthly Safety Committee meetings for Office-Only Branches.
- Report any immediate concerns to US QHSE Manager
- Upload attendance records to the branch Teams folder
Attend quarterly US Safety Committee meetings (with all branches) Share Safety Topic list with branches – Topics defined by US QHSE Committee Provide guidance to branches on ISO/Safety topics as needed Assist in incident/accident investigation and Nonconformity completion as needed. Submit monthly HSE reporting of electricity, paper consumption and accident/near misses for all branches on their region Immediately report OSHA concerns/violations to US QHSE Manager
Quality
Vendor Management – Ensure Vendors for the region are Qualified Liaison between US QHSE Manager and branches – communicate/ implement new QHSE procedures, training requirements Support Change Management questions/process Provide support with Management Reviews for the region Provide support with local procedures

Green Office Program Implementation and follow-up Lead Projects for the Bruni Foundation
Qualifications
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Strong Organizational skills – Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and execute on assigned deliverables.
- Facilitation skills - emphasis on coordinating relationships with internal functions/groups; ability to solve issues by coordinating across cross-functional areas.
- Sound judgment and the ability to work under time pressures.
- International experience and previous exposure to other cultures would be highly desirable.
- Able to manage outcomes to timeline.
- Able to work with in a matrix reporting environment, build and maintain strong relationships with peers, stakeholders and management who will largely be based remotely.
- Solution driven with the willingness and ability to implement innovative ideas to improve processes and procedures.

Education/Experience
- Preferred: ISO Internal Auditor qualification or experience in auditing and implementing ISO standards or willingness to learn
- Experience and understanding of OSHA requirements
TECHNICAL/SOFTWARE
- Must be comfortable with communication tools such as MS Teams etc.
- Experience on MS Visio and/or other process mapping tools is a plus.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
LANGUAGE
- Excellent knowledge of oral and written English language. Ability to verbally communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
- Secondary local language is preferred.
ENVIRONMENT
- 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
