Position Summary
The main task is to keep customer satisfaction as a priority. You will be in contact with different customers within the automotive industry. QA Engineers are responsible for identifying technical problems, getting to the root cause of the problem and collaborating on the solution. This can be for delivered materials, internal processes or finished dampers and customer complaints. It is important that you have an eye for detail and consider all customer satisfaction indicators: product quality & safety, on-time delivery, response time to claims or problems and product experience.
KONI's quality team is a great mix of nationalities, young, old, experienced and willing to learn. In this position you will be part of our quality team in Oud-Beijerland (Netherlands), reporting directly to the KONI Quality manager.
Essential Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Customer quality assurance: Serve as the primary contact for customer quality issues
- Customer complaints: Investigate customer complaints and lead root cause analysis within cross functional teams
- Internal quality assurance: Inspect product materials and finished shock absorbers for non-conformities according to drawings and customer specific requirements;
- Quality performance: Monitor quality performance metrics
- Problem solving and improvements: Implement and follow up on corrective and preventive actions that arise from internal or customer issues
- Audits: Support internal and customer audits
- Quality management system (QMS): Update and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) after complaints and improvements
Position Requirements

The ideal candidate has a business minded approach, is willing to work in a challenging environment and is always looking to improve. Key requirements are:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (with focus on customer quality and problem solving), ideally in automotive industry.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related technical field.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage technical knowledge to assure quality and conformance of the products. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is required. Proficiency in quality tools and problem-solving techniques is desired. Affinity with IATF16949 quality standard is preferred. Knowledge of suspension systems and shock absorber design is a plus.
- Quality System: Hands-on experience with quality management system (QMS) is desired.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English. Dutch is a plus.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office and web applications, with a strong ability to use data tools for reporting.

- Hands-on Mentality: Strong hands-on mentality and willingness to engage directly on the shop floor to resolve quality issues
