Job Description:

Are you the lawyer we are looking for to strengthen our team?

The FedEx Legal Team is a true business partner, and we have a seat at the table. We protect the interests of FedEx, while ensuring we achieve our strategic business goals. We are known and recognized by FedEx business leaders for providing pragmatic, to-the-point and relevant advice.

The Europe central legal team is based in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands (just outside of Amsterdam) and has an opening for a Senior Legal Counsel to play an instrumental role supporting the commercial side of the FedEx Express business in Europe.

What you will be doing:

• provide strategic advice to senior/executive management within Legal and other functions on a wide variety of commercial and contractual matters and projects (including sales, marketing & communications, pricing, product, services and e-commerce)
• lead high impact commercial projects and initiatives
• negotiate and advise on a broad spectrum of commercial contracts
• influence and support cross-functional project teams to achieve optimal results for the business, and
• build and develop effective relationships with colleagues from different functions and senior/executive management to influence optimal business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have / be:

• a team player and is eager to join an energetic commercial legal team passionate about logistics and the FedEx brand
• At least 5-8 years of relevant working experience preferably at both a reputable international law firm and in-house in logistics or a large, multinational corporate environment

What do you bring with you:

• fluent in English both written and spoken (at least CEF level C1), especially with regard to Legal terminology
• 3-8 years of relevant working experience preferably at both a reputable international law firm and in-house in logistics or a large, multinational corporate environment
• An LL.M from a reputable (European or American) university
• You are eligible to work in The Netherlands on a permanent basis
