We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Pastry Chef with proven expertise in French pastry classics to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently and produce exceptional, artisanal-quality pastries from scratch.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a range of traditional French viennoiseries and pastries, including:
- Croissants (classic, filled, laminated to perfection)
- Pain au chocolat
- Brioche (various styles and flavors)
- Opera cake
- Forêt Noire (Black Forest cake)
- Seasonal and rotating French classics
- Manage production schedules to ensure freshness and consistency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment
- Innovate while honoring tradition, contributing occasional new ideas or variations
- Work independently and manage time and resources efficiently
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a professional pastry kitchen, preferably French-focused
- Strong technical knowledge of lamination, pastry creams, ganaches, and cake assembly
- Ability to produce high-quality results with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail, creativity, and dedication to excellence
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations
