Job Description
As a Solution Designer Data in the Network Services AI & Data team, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our data-driven network intelligence. You will design end-to-end, cross-domain solutions that support real-time monitoring, performance management, and analytics across our telecommunications infrastructure. Your contributions will directly enhance the reliability, scalability, and innovation of our network systems.
You will lead the conceptual and technical design of ICT infrastructures and systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and operational processes. By translating functional requirements into scalable, future-proof solutions, you will drive the evolution of our data platforms and support the onboarding of new network domains.
You will be working on topics like:
- Drive conceptual and technical innovation: Identify, initiate, and implement system-level and conceptual innovations within the overall architecture. Contribute to the development of a long-term vision and promote standardization through design leadership.
- Design end-to-end, scalable data solutions: Develop robust architectures for ingesting, processing, and visualizing network data, ensuring extensibility across different network domains and alignment with long-term strategic goals.
- Translate business needs into technical designs: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and convert them into high-level and detailed solution blueprints.
- Conduct feasibility and impact analysis:Investigate the feasibility and implications of technical innovations and functional requirements on existing infrastructure, particularly in high-complexity environments.
- Guide the solution lifecycle:Provide technical direction throughout the design, development, testing, and deployment phases to ensure quality and alignment.
- Ensure architectural and operational alignment:Align solutions with domain and enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and operational workflows.
- Lead multidisciplinary projects:Co-design coordinated approaches for complex projects with internal and external stakeholders. Act as project lead, resolving disruptions, ensuring execution quality, and guiding large, cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
You have a strategic mindset and are capable of aligning technical solutions with enterprise goals, governance frameworks, and evolving business needs. You can effectively engage with stakeholders across business, IT, and network domains.
Qualification and Skills:
- Academic background: you hold a university-level degree (WO) or higher professional education degree (HBO), preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Professional experience: you bring experience in architecture, data architecture, or telecommunications networks within a complex organizational environment.
- Technical proficiency: you posess expertise in data architecture and engineering, including streaming technologies and large-scale data processing platforms.
- Analytical capability: you are skilled in interpreting and modeling complex datasets and translating them into actionable insights that support both operational and strategic objectives.
- Methodological knowledge: you are familiar with ICT design methodologies, including system design, software engineering, and testing practices.
Additional Information
As an employer, we offer you an attractive package, including:
- Gross monthly salary between €5.038 and €7.575, depending on your experience (based on 40 hours)
- A fixed 13th-month salary, partially paid monthly and partially in January, or you can allocate it to a FLEX & BOOST goal of your choice
- Annual individual and collective salary increases according to our collective labor agreement (CAO)
- €1,500 per year for personal development, which you can use for training, coaching, or courses

- Excellent pension plan: 23% total contribution, with KPN covering 16% and you contributing 7%
