The Role
We are seeking an experienced Sorting Center Night Shift Supervisor to lead our overnight operations in Rotterdam. This critical role ensures the smooth functioning of our automated sorting hub during peak operational hours, maintaining our reputation for speed, accuracy, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
Supervise and motivate a team of sorting operators and technicians during night shifts
Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift debriefs to ensure operational alignment
Implement performance coaching and disciplinary actions when required
Operational Management:
Oversee the processing of packages at night through automated sorting systems
Monitor real-time performance metrics and adjust workflows to meet hourly targets
Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks and equipment issues with engineering teams
Quality Assurance:
Maintain sorting accuracy through continuous process monitoring
Implement corrective actions for missorts and handling errors
Conduct random quality checks throughout the shift
Safety Compliance:
Enforce strict safety protocols for equipment operation and package handling
Lead emergency response procedures during night shifts
Document and report all safety incidents according to company policy
Reporting & Communication:
Compile shift performance reports for day management
Handover critical information to day shift supervisors
Escalate system failures or major disruptions to regional operations center
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
2+ years supervisory experience in parcel sorting, warehouse, or logistics operations
Proven ability to lead teams in high-volume, time-sensitive environments
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to make quick decisions
Ability to work overnight shifts (including weekends)
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Technical Skills:
Experience with automated sorting systems (cross-belt, tilt-tray, etc.)
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS)
Basic understanding of mechanical systems for troubleshooting
Preferred Attributes:
Certification in logistics operations or warehouse management
Experience working with robotic sorting systems
Knowledge of Lean methodologies in logistics
