We are recruiting for a Tax Manager with a focus on compliance, based in our European headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. You will be reporting to the Director Tax Europe.This role will be responsible for managing and coordinating corporate tax compliance and reporting processes across multiple European jurisdictions. You will work closely with internal finance teams, external advisors, and the broader global tax function to ensure compliance with local tax laws and alignment with global tax strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns across Europe, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
Coordinate with local finance teams and external tax advisors to ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
Monitor changes in tax legislation across relevant jurisdictions and assist with determining the impact on the company's financial statements and tax positions.
Assist local finance teams with local statutory tax disclosures and tax reconciliations.
Collaborate with transfer pricing advisors to ensure local transfer pricing documentation requirements are met.
Design and maintain standard processes for tax compliance and tax payments.
Design and maintain process for tracking outside service provider fees and accruals.
Manage and support tax audits and inquiries across European jurisdictions.
Serve as a key point of contact for local finance teams on corporate tax compliance issues.
Support tax planning strategies and legal entity reduction efforts.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to facilitate effective communication and cooperation on tax-related matters.
Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive process improvements, optimize tax efficiency, and enhance overall financial performance.
Contribute to continuous improvement and automation of tax compliance processes.
What are we looking for?
A Master's degree in Tax or Accounting combined with a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in a public accounting firm and/or tax experience in a large global corporation.
Comprehensive knowledge of Dutch and international tax regimes/regulations.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
