Job Mission / Purpose:
Manage and support the transport & planning activities in and out of the EMEA CDC, provide best in class customer service for the European Selling division, support all EMEA CDC customers in the arena of transportation.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
Within the 4 key pillars of our organization the Transport Coordinator is responsible for:
Secure day to day:
- Driver reception
- Transport bookings for outgoing shipments
- Administration of docs/PODs, CMR, EXA, AWB etc.
- Transport issue resolution;
- Emergency shipment handling;
- Handle escalations
- Business knowledge & email handling
- Keeping work instructions and processes up to date
Strengthening the base:
- Act as first point of contact for any system related queries (Power User)
- Training the team (and new recruits) on use of system
- Responsible for maintaining and improving the system if applicable (Change Request process)
New Business Needs/ Opportunities:
- Follow up on transportation related customer comments;
- Focus on customer requirements and adapt business accordingly
Develop for the future:
- Identifying opportunities for improvement;
- Participate and contribute to improvement projects;
Education
- MBO/junior college or equivalent experience
- Good level of Business English (verbal and written)
Experience
- Proven experience in an international logistics or customer service environment
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with operational transport management
- Basic knowledge of international trade
- Experience in distribution processes
- Oracle or similar ERP system / MS Office
- A drive for continuous improvements is a must
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
