Reports to: Restaurant Manager.
Purpose of the Role
As an all-round team member, you are the face of our restaurant. You are responsible for welcoming guests, preparing orders, and ensuring a hospitable and smooth experience. Additionally, you are responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy restaurant environment. While you will mainly work front of house, you may also be required to help back of house with dishwashing or simple kitchen tasks. We expect a proactive attitude from an all-round team member, especially during quieter periods, to restock (and when needed, prepare) items and help clean the restaurant.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Preparing and, when needed, taking orders
- Ensuring the restaurant looks clean and well-presented
- Handling guest questions or complaints in a professional manner
- Carefully opening and closing the restaurant
- Clearing and cleaning tables
- Collaborating with the kitchen and colleagues to ensure a smooth shift
- Complying with hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP)
- Advising guests about the menu
- Order new ingredients at our suppliers (eg. VHC, van Gelder)
- Preparing flatbread chips, croutons, sauce cups, mezze, and giveaway brownies
Profile
- Hospitable, energetic, and service-oriented
- Well-presented and communicative
- Stress-resistant and flexible (available for evenings/weekends)
- A team player with a sense of responsibility
- Experience in hospitality is a plus, but not required
