Your Role in Our Story
We’re looking for an Assistant Financial Controller who thrives in a dynamic, international environment and is eager to grow within a global finance team. You’ll work closely with the International Controller and play a key role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly, transparently, and in alignment with our strategic goals.
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our finance team, your day-to-day will be varied, impactful, and collaborative. You’ll:
- Support financial consolidation across multiple international entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, helping leadership make informed decisions.
- Collaborate across departments and countries to gather financial data, streamline processes, and improve reporting accuracy.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles, offering insights that drive performance and efficiency.
- Review general ledger and month-end accruals, allowances and provisions, to ensure compliance with Dutch/US GAAP/IFRS, and internal financial policies.
- Check inventory accounting and costing with a focus on proper cost absorption throughout the production cycle.
- Work with external auditors and advisors, supporting audits and tax filings with professionalism and precision.
- Leverage tools like Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Excel and Blue10 to manage data, automate tasks, and improve workflows.
- Continuously improve internal controls and financial processes, bringing fresh ideas and a proactive mindset.
What You Bring
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial accounting or controlling, ideally in an international setting and public accounting.
- Solid understanding of international accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Business Central or Navision experience is a plus).
- A collaborative spirit and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
- A proactive, hands-on approach and a willingness to learn and grow.
