THE ROLE
We are looking for a CAD Designer (AutoCAD Drafter) to join our Engineering team. You will play a key role in transforming process and mechanical designs into precise technical drawings and documentation, supporting the development and deployment of Skytree’s carbon capture systems. You’ll work across teams to produce PFDs, P&IDs, detailed fabrication drawings, and 3D component layouts that support manufacturing, assembly, and site installation.
YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY
Create and revise PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) in accordance with engineering specifications and process requirements.
Develop detailed 2D CAD drawings and technical documentation for equipment, piping layouts, supports, enclosures, and system assemblies.
Assist in 3D modeling of components and system layouts (experience with 3D tools is a plus).
Maintain and organize the drawing and revision control system (file structure, versioning, backups).
Translate engineering sketches and concepts into professional manufacturing-ready documentation.
Support cross-functional teams (process, mechanical, electrical) by ensuring consistency and quality across drawing packages.
Generate and maintain drawing registers and tag lists aligned with project configurations.
Contribute to design reviews and implement mark-ups and updates based on engineer feedback.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a CAD Designer or Draftsperson.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar 3D software is a plus.
Proven experience creating and modifying PFDs and P&IDs is essential.
Familiarity with process equipment, piping systems, valves, and instrumentation symbols and conventions.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment datasheets, and mechanical specifications.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and drawing management practices.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of CAD standards (ISO, DIN, or ANSI) and experience working in a regulated or engineering-controlled environment is preferred.
You’re alowed to work in The Netherlands without any restriction, and you do not need work permit/visa sponsorship
