Your job
Together with the colleagues of the Global Corporate Secretariat, you will be the expert on corporate governance. You will advice ABN AMRO Clearing Bank's Management Board, Supervisory Board and Global Management Team.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Advising the Management Board and Supervisory Board on corporate governance and their roles and responsibilities.
- Setting the annual calendars for the Management Board and Supervisory Board.
- Organising and preparing the meetings of ABN AMRO Clearing Bank's senior management boards and committees by scheduling meetings, drafting agendas, ensuring that topics are discussed at the right time in the right policy-making body, and ensuring that the information necessary for decision-making is timely delivered.
- Minuting meetings and coordinating the follow-up on action points.
- Assist in, monitor and document communication toward supervisory authorities.
- Providing input on projects and business as usual activities to shape, improve and execute the corporate governance of ABN AMRO Clearing Bank and its subsidiaries.
- Drafting corporate documentations and organising and maintaining corporate records and documents (including all corporate registers).
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders on corporate governance matters.
- Monitoring and implementing new rules and regulation or relevant internal ABN AMRO policies on corporate governance.
- Engaging with relevant internal and external stakeholders, both on a formal and informal basis, to ensure all projects and processes run smoothly.
Working environment
In banking, Clearing denotes all activities from the time a commitment (buy or sell) is made for a transaction until it is settled. ABN AMRO Clearing acts as an intermediary between clients and the exchanges these clients trade on. We become the buyer to the seller and the seller to the buyer, taking over the risk to reconcile orders between the parties in the transaction. Processing around 18 million transactions a day. We do so for professional traders, investment managers and large corporates. As clients are highly demanding and the market environment fluctuates, you are guaranteed to learn a lot in a short space of time. Your profile
- A master´s degree in corporate or financial law.
- 8-10 years of experience in (corporate) governance.
- Knowledge of Corporate Governance.
- Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations for financial institutions.
- Analytical skills.
- Stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English (both oral and written).

We are offering
- The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on Hay 10 in a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
- Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
