Our Global Brand, Marketing & Communications team is looking for an eperienced and highly capable marketing professional to join this high performing team in the role of Brand Design Epert.
The Global Brand & Marketing ambition is to establish a truly differentiating and effective brand across all markets and business lines that we operate in. A key enabler in meeting this ambition is the ongoing development of world class creative capabilities across our global markets.
The Brand Design Epert will contribute to the design and management of ING’s Brand and brand identity fundamentals. In this role you will manage and evolve the consistent implementation of our Brand fundamentals in all touch points for all markets, with a strong focus on the deeper funnel, digital, i.e. mobile apps and websites. To be effective you will need to understand where and how our Brand fundamentals are applied, the needs of the business and what is required and possible in the contet of the touch point.
The team
You will be part of the Brand Identity & Design team. The team consists of 6 people, including 4 other brand design eperts and 2 creative producers. You will report into the Global Head of Brand Identity & Design. Brand & Marketing sits within the Global Brand, Marketing & Communications department.
The purpose of this team is to build the most appealing brand in the industry. Bringing this to live in our global brand eperience that is coherent yet distinctive in all markets across all touchpoints. We provide shared brand assets to our colleagues and partners to drive this while we strive for creative ecellence in collaboration with our markets and creative partners.
Roles and responsibilities
- Develop and manage our brand identity and distinctive global brand assets (with focus on implementation of fundamentals across all digital touch points, i.e. mobile apps and websites)
- Apply our brand fundamentals in collaboration with the Brand Identity & Design eperts, local eperts and agency partners.
- Partner with the global brand eperience and broader design community within ING, actively collecting feedback and act on needs, issues or concerns.
- Manage the global consistency and local relevance of our brand assets.
- A data driven approach to your work to objectify decision making.
- Maintain oversight, project planning and budgeting for your projects to ensure on time and on budget delivery.
- A quick grasp of business priorities and changes

We are looking for a team member with the following knowledge and eperience:
- 5+ years of professional eperience as brand design manager or studio manager in a large multinational consumer-oriented business or agency.
- Eperience with working in a creative environment with the ability to apply iterative design methodologies to solve, validate and improve comple design challenges.
- Eperienced in working with senior leadership and multi-disciplinary teams in fast moving and international environments.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and eperience in developing and managing global programs, with hands-on eperience turning comple problems into simple and engaging customer eperiences both on- and offline.
- Ability to manage high ambitions and conflicting goals from a wide range of stakeholders, to successfully reach impactful and pragmatic solutions.
- Eperience in managing creative teams across various locations to achieve common objectives
