About the Role:
We are seeking a Business Analyst to play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. In this position, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of organizational needs. Working within our agile development environment, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, while actively managing the product backlog and providing crucial support during sprint planning sessions.
A key aspect of this role involves translating complex business requirements into clear, actionable items that development teams can effectively implement. You will facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to elicit requirements and ensure all perspectives are considered. Throughout the development lifecycle, you will maintain requirements traceability and work closely with the team to support testing activities and validate delivered solutions. Additionally, you will actively participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to optimize processes and enhance project outcomes.
Specifically, responsibilities include:
- Enrich research and requirements through workshops, discussions and walkthroughs
- Analyse requirements to identify core needs
- Examine existing systems and solutions to highlight applicable uses and identify gaps
- Engage with engineering to identify technical considerations and define appropriate solutions
- Produce engineering specifications such as Data flows, Domain models, UI designs, API specifications, etc.
- Maintain backlog of User Stories and work with engineering to groom, estimate, develop, test and deliver
About You:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Fund Administration industry
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and user story writing
- Experience with requirements gathering and documentation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with fund accounting systems and processes
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Knowledge of business process modeling tools
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Figma, and/or Draw.IO for documentation
