We are entering an exciting new phase of international expansion, both organically and through acquisitions, and are looking for a CFO who will not just manage the numbers, but help shape the future of our business and finance organization.
As CFO, you will be the leader of our finance department, building and scaling a best-in-class financial function that supports growth across borders. You will be accountable for revenue, working capital, and delivering strategic insights that empower our managing partners to make bold, informed decisions on future growth. In this pivotal role, you will be a trusted sparring partner to senior leadership, steering business-critical decisions while ensuring robust governance, operational excellence, and sustainable value creation.
Your responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute a forward-looking financial strategy aligned with Marktlink Capital’s ambitious growth agenda, including organic scale-up and inorganic expansion through M&A.
- Act as a key advisor to the executive team and investment partners, delivering strategic insights to optimise revenue growth and long-term value creation.
- Provide actionable, data-driven recommendations to support business decisions in order to product strategies, pricing and margins.
- Optimise the capital structure.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance function, introducing best practices in forecasting, performance management, and financial control.
- Drive the development of reliable management reporting, KPI dashboards, and forecasting models that enable sharp, data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure our regulatory requirements as set out by the AFM & DNB are met.
- Oversee budgeting, scenario planning, and performance analysis in coordination with internal finance teams.
- Manage working capital, cash flow and treasury activities.
- Lead financial due diligence, valuation, and integration of acquisitions at both local entity and holding level.
- Partner with leadership to identify and execute international growth opportunities, ensuring seamless financial integration in new markets.
- Serve as the financial point of contact for investors, partners, and the board.
- Bring proven experience in managing stakeholders in private equity environments, ideally with exposure to partner groups.
- Build and maintain trust with external and internal stakeholders through clear, transparent, and timely communication.
- Expand and develop the finance team, creating a structure that scales with the business.
- Foster cross-department collaboration with Fund Management, Investments, Sales and Operations.
- Embed a high-performance culture grounded in ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Your profile
Education & Certifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Deep understanding of regulatory and financial frameworks relevant to PE/VC structures.
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in private equity, asset management, or other regulated financial services.
- Proven success in building and scaling finance functions in dynamic, international growth environments.
- Track record in M&A execution, financial due diligence, and integration.
- Previous experience with investor stakeholder management in PE environments, ideally also with partner groups.
