We are looking for an experienced Designer to join our team.
The purpose of this position is to work on design and perform 3D layout modelling and 2D drawing preparation to support the Design Area Lead or Lead.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in model review using 3D review platform and create 3D models of moderate complexity
- Apply project drawing standards to design drawings and 3D layout
- Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of moderate complexity; plot plans, layout drawings, foundation drawings, reinforcement drawings, steel arrangement drawings, etc.
- Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in design
- Review vendor equipment documentation of basic complexity within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
- Provide close interface with, and promote the understanding of, other discipline functions
- Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
- Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed
- Adhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies

- Bsc. (HBO or University of Applied Sciences / University) / Msc. Degree in Civil/Structrural Engineering
- At least 2 – 5 years of engineering and design experience
- Experience with Eurocode design
- Experience with FEED and EPC project execution (preferred)
- Experience with requirements of building authorities (preferred)
- Experience with Revamp (e.g. structural assessment of existing piperacks) and Grass root projects (preferred)
- Fluent in English both written and spoken, German and/or Dutch are an advantage
- Flexible and willing to travel and to work on project site if required
- Well-developed communication, organizational, interpersonal & leadership skills
- Experience with Scrum, Lean, Agile Methodologies or willingness to learn in practice
- Preferred candidates lives in the Netherlands
- Advanced knowledge of 2D CAD systems and procedures; AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation
- Intermediate knowledge of 3D CAD systems (Hexagon Smart® 3D, etc.) and procedures
