Do you thrive in a role where precision, compliance, and safety go hand in hand? At UPS, we’re looking for a Dangerous Goods Coordinator to ensure our operations meet the highest standards in handling and transporting dangerous goods and hazardous materials. You’ll play a key role in supporting our operations and health & safety committees, raising safety awareness, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations and UPS standards. Are you ready to make an impact?
What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll oversee all Dangerous Goods compliance matters across our 4 facilities in the Roermond/Venlo campus. Your day-to-day focus will be safe handling and storage of Hazardous Chemicals and preparation of Dangerous Goods for transportation in compliance with local and international regulations and UPS standards. You’ll coordinate with Facility DG Coordinators at multiple UPS Healthcare sites, following up with operational and IT teams on DG-related risks, process issues, and compliance actions. You’ll facilitate and deliver training on ADR, IATA, IMO, and related regulations, ensuring that every team member is fully prepared to work safely and in compliance.
You’ll analyse and refine DG workflows, drive process improvements, and support WMS/TMS updates through user acceptance testing. You’ll also keep documentation and procedures accurate, audit-ready, and compliant with UPS and regulatory standards. When incidents or data errors occur, you will investigate, report, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. As a back-up for Facility DG Coordinators, you will help strengthen our safety culture and operational reliability.

- Experience in Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials compliance;
- Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations;
- Certification and knowledge of IATA, ADR, IMDG, PGS 15, and PGS 372 regulations;
- A score of 90% on IATA and the willingness to obtain more certificates;
