The Team
Within the Strategy & Operations team, our mission is to drive longer term business direction, drive strategic business planning, improving operational efficiency and support execution of strategic priorities. This position's team serves as the backbone of our department, collaborating closely across global strategy teams, EMEA teams and Hub counterparts to drive business planning, prioritisation and strategic projects. With an integral position in the team, the role contributes significantly to the department's strategic growth, and overall success.

The Position
As the Director of Business Strategy, you will play a pivotal and highly visible role in shaping the long-term growth and strategic direction of TH EMEA. You will be at the forefront of identifying high-impact business opportunities, leveraging deep market insights, and conducting thorough competitive analysis to inform senior leadership’s decisions. Your work will directly enable evidence-based decision-making, ensuring the organization remains agile and responsive to emerging trends and market shifts. In this capacity, you will lead the development of actionable strategic roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives that align with the broader goals of TH EMEA and drive innovation to address complex business challenges. You will work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including cross-functional teams within TH EMEA, Hub counterparts, the Global Brand Strategy team, and other key stakeholders. Your ability to connect the dots between regional and global strategies will be essential in ensuring alignment and driving the successful execution of strategic initiatives. You will also play a critical role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that all teams are empowered with the tools and insights needed to meet their objectives. This is a highly strategic role where your ability to think both analytically and creatively will be key in navigating complex challenges and identifying opportunities for growth. Your leadership will be integral to achieving the TH EMEA organization’s objectives, driving business performance, and contributing to the overall success and future growth of the TH brand. Your work will be central to the ongoing success and evolution of TH EMEA, and you will have a significant impact on shaping the future of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage strategic planning cycle: Manage process and milestones in line with Global and Regional counterparts. Lead the work of TH EMEA strategic process and milestones, facilitating a pro-active approach to strategy which ensures an aligned strategic business plan to guide the organization

  • Develop business strategies: Lead efforts to develop comprehensive business strategies, facilitating high-level problem-solving sessions, and creating actionable solutions to address both immediate and long-term business needs

  • Develop strategic recommendations: Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership, offering insights and data to help navigate business challenges, identify opportunities, and support key decision-making processes

  • Identify business opportunities: identify and analyse potential business opportunities through market research to assess the viability of new business avenues and innovative solutions that could drive company growth. Proactively scout for ways to expand market share, increase competitive advantage, and capitalize on industry changes, ensuring the company remains ahead of competitors and positioned for sustainable success.

  • Develop strategic initiatives: Develop strategic initiatives that support the company’s vision and mission, focusing on scalable, high-impact opportunities.

  • Conduct strategic planning: Develop and maintain long-term strategic plans and define roadmaps to guide the implementation of strategic plans

  • Business case development: Work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure that business cases align with the company’s strategic objectives, financial goals, and risk appetite. Support presentation of well-structured business cases to senior leadership and decision-making bodies

  • Conduct market research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to assess industry dynamics, competitor strategies, and potential threats or opportunities in the market.

  • Collaborate cross functionally: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and prioritize strategic initiatives, ensuring focus on high-impact, feasible projects that align with the company’s long-term objectives. Work closely with teams to define business challenges and innovative solutions.

  • Develop strategic communications and executive presentation: Support organizational adaptation and understanding of strategic business plans, commercial opportunities and challenges, strategic priorities and performance metrics

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in business strategy within a fashion, retail, or consumer goods environment.

  • Very strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making, leveraging insights to make strategic recommendations

  • Strong results-driven mindset, with the ability to balance short-term commercial needs with long-term strategic planning.

  • Very strong business acumen and the ability to identify, formulate and prioritize strategic initiatives in line with business strategy

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders effectively, ensuring buy-in and support for key initiatives.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, collaborating effectively with TH EMEA, Hub teams and Global teams

  • Strong leadership experience, with a track record of developing, mentoring, and inspiring high-performing teams for 5+ years

  • Problem solving: advanced understanding of how to solve complex problems and critically assess the solutions required

  • Highly adaptable and proactive, thriving in a fast-paced, evolving retail environment.

  • Fluency in English
