Would you like to advise and support the WUR Council as a part-time executive secretary ? In this role you’ll be a permanent point of contact for WUR Council members and an essential link in ensuring the effective functioning of employee and student participation at WUR. You’ll work closely together with your the daily board of the WUR Council and collaborate with you fellow executive secretary to provide strong, coordinated support.

The Central Works Council (COR) and the Student Staff Council (SSC) are central participatory bodies of Wageningen University & Research (WUR). Together they meet as WUR Council. The WUR Council, a group of about 28 members (employees and students), represents 7,700 employees, 2,500 PhD students, and over 13,000 students.
The WUR Council plays a key role as discussion partner for the Executive Board in shaping institutional policy. The working language of the WUR Council is English, and most documents prepared in both Dutch and English.

Together, the three of you form the team of executive secretaries who facilitate central employee and student participation at WUR. - The organisation, preparation and reporting of internal meetings of the WUR Council, consultation meetings with the Executive Board and meetings of the daily board of the WUR Council
- Monitoring processes, (legal) procedures, deadlines and keeping abreast of relevant developments in laws and regulations and monitoring relations and working agreements within the WUR Council and with the Executive Board, from this role advising and coaching the WUR Council and its members and (co-)updating the regulations of the WUR Council, COR and SSC;
- Taking care of correspondence and organising information provision, such as proactively managing the WUR Council's SharePoint and intranet group page, coordinating and co-authoring the annual report;
- Co-organising the annual PhD elections and the triennial general elections of the participatory bodies; co-organising the induction of new WUR Council members; initiating and organising training for WUR Council members; managing the COR and SSC budgets.
In addition to your immediate team, you will also have regular contact with the executive secretary of the Student Council. Together, the three of you form the team of executive secretaries who facilitate central employee and student participation at WUR. - Have demonstrable knowledge and experience of employee and student participation, or be willing to undergo training in this area;
- Have experience in a role as an executive secretary in a complex organisation;
