The Director of Finance for NV EMEA provides financial leadership in the region with responsibilities over all financial activities, strategic decision support, and influence over resource and capital investments. This role will engage with stakeholders across all geographies to ensure appropriate business finance support for the division while driving sales and income growth across NV EMEA. As a key business partner, he/she will develop and drive financial strategy to support business requirements and will play a key role in determining future business priorities while meeting overall Stryker financial objectives.
This role reports directly to the VP of Finance for Neurovascular with a dotted line to the VP/GM NV EMEA and Senior Finance Director, MSNT. This role serves on the Neurovascular EMEA and Finance leadership teams and will work closely with all EMEA leadership team members as well as in country Business Unit Directors to ensure financial objectives are met. This role has two direct reports, Finance Manager and Sales Operations Specialist, and one indirect report, Sr./Lead Financial Analyst.
Responsibilities:
Finance business partner for the Neurovascular EMEA Division VP / GM and division leadership, with direct responsibility for P&L management.
Works with business unit leadership team to grow the business by formulating appropriate financial strategies and plans; supports the identification of market opportunities (“where to win”) and determine business strategy to seize market opportunities (“how to win”).
Makes growth happen by working through others and across teams, aligning people and resources, establishing high standards of performance, and creating a climate of mutual accountability that delivers expected business results.
Drives long term strategic planning, assessing business potential and transformation, including regional expansions and acquisitions.
Leads and manages the annual budgeting and monthly financial projection processes.
Closely involved in analysis of new product launches, M&A models, and integration activities.
Clear understanding of the internal and external customer environment; engages with external customers when appropriate.
Sales channel/Go to market optimization and sales incentive development.
Supports Finance Leaders and collaborates with other Finance teams to simplify and standardize reporting and processes to reduce complexity and waste.
Partners with EU and EEMEA Finance in the implementation and adherence to any relevant policies
Builds and develops a strong environment of collaboration and partnership with Country Finance Teams, Shared Service Centers, Europe and EEMEA FP&A and US Finance Teams.
Develops Talent through coaching and mentoring direct and indirect team members.
Collaborates with the Indirect Channel Management team by participating in yearly business reviews, policy & process development, and other ad hoc requests.
Management of EEMEA distributor credit limits and payment terms in collaboration with Accounts Receivable and Customer Service teams.
Oversight of monthly EEMEA commissions calculations.
Supports large tenders / contracts
