Who are we?
NecstGen is a leading CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) focused on process development and GMP manufacturing of cell and gene therapies. We are an independent, non-profit organization with a state-of-the-art facility in Leiden, specifically designed to develop, manufacture, and deliver these complex therapies to patients.
NecstGen is an independent subsidiary of the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). Thanks to this independent position, we can fully focus on innovation and accessibility in cell and gene therapy. Our location at the Leiden Bio Science Park, one of Europe’s largest life sciences clusters, offers direct access to a network of experts, partners, and emerging talent.

Requirements
What will you do?
As our Finance Intern, you’ll work closely with the Finance Controller and CFO on a range of financial operations and reporting tasks. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in a high-impact sector while learning how finance supports innovation in healthcare.
Support with invoice processing and monthly closings;
Help prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis;
Work on building dashboards;
Assist in monitoring project costs and preparing documentation for client billing;
Contribute to internal reporting and financial overviews;
Learn to work with financial controls in a GMP-regulated environment;
Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional processes.
Who are you?

You bring:
An academic background in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (HBO/WO);
A sharp eye for detail;
A hands-on mentality and a positive, collaborative mindset;
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
