As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in our finance team. You will support the CFO and the current Financial Controller in further professionalizing our department. You will be responsible for maintaining a stable and accurate financial administration and contributing to improving our processes. With your experience and expertise, you can hit the ground running and provide support at both strategic and operational levels.
Responsibilities
Perform general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules
Prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles
Provide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing deviations from the budget
Analyze and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and reports
Conduct or assist in documenting accounting projects

Requirements
Possesses in-depth knowledge of their own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
Solves complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions
Works independently with minimal guidance
May lead projects or specific steps within a broader project, or be accountable for ongoing activities or objectives
Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues
Qualifications
A completed bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or a related administrative field
4–6 years of relevant experience in financial controlling or similar roles
Strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset
Excellent command of Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, AFAS, Oracle), experience with Odoo is appreciated
Good command of both English and Dutch, spoken and written
Able to work independently and communicate effectively across departments
Experience with financial consolidation and reporting is a strong advantage
