At DP World Logistics Europe B.V. we are looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Freight Forwarding Trade Lane Manager - Southeast Asia Pacific .
The TLM ensures delivery of significant volume-growth contribution in both Air & Ocean the assigned Tradelane(s). This position requires strong communication and empathy skills as well as Freight Forwarding operational experience in a fast paced, dynamic Freight-Forwarding Trade Lane Management (TLM) environment.
How you will contribute:
- Manage trade lane Current and strategic customers for the respective Tradelane and work as support within the Sales Organization ensuring constant growth in Volume throughout all products (Air & Ocean). Deliver strategic customers to the Sales Organization without being the Opportunity owner.
- Development of a trust-based, effective and efficient cooperation with the trade-lane partners
Liaise with Product Management, Branch Managers & Operations on both sides of the trade lane in order to ensure proper solutions are developed around customer needs of the assigned trade lane(s). - Knowledge transfer for the assigned trade lane; communication of strengths, weaknesses, unique selling points and products to the organization.
- Assist local (Field) Sales Teams in their day by day selling activities joining sales calls and acting as trade lane subject matter expert in eyes of BCOs and for all Sales teams.
- Liaise with DPW internal Network and external Partner Agents in order to guarantee the best possible service assistance to working on opportunities.
- Take direct charge of selling activity by farming the respective strategic accounts & Business with the sales organization related to your trade lane(s).
- Market analyses and competitive monitoring with the aim of driving profitable and sustainable measures.
- Identification of market and product trends; development and implementation of measures; involvement and advising in execution of RFQ's.
- Perform minimum one Consignee Sales Trip (CST) per Quarter overseas and host the same in return from your counterparts. Daily work our CRM system in order to properly manage the pipeline and customer activities need to be recorded in CRM system by having the TL Manager added as Team member to the account and customer contact activities.

What you need to bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or combination of education and experience.
- Minimum work experience in Freight Forwarding > 5 years. Experience in Sales > 3 years, experience in Trade Lane Management is a plus.
The skillset we are looking for:
- Strong air and ocean product knowledge, working experience in air or ocean operations
- Ability to research, identify, tackle, grow and close business opportunities ensuring the needed support from product and operations.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with clients, carriers, other forwarders, vendors.
- You speak and write fluent English – additional languages needed for specific trade lanes.
