We have an urgent requirement for a part-time German Teacher, available to teach GCSE & A Level German language studies from September 2025. This will be a 0.3 FTE contract role working on Tuesday & Wednesday mornings. German language classes usually have a maximum of 10 pupils.
Currently the requirement is for Term 1 only (Autumn term) from September to the end of December 2025, with the possibility that this could be extended and may continue though out the academic year.
About the role of German Teacher
This is an ideal role for an experienced German languages teacher seeking a part-time professional teaching contract. You must be competent to teach German to B2 level in an educational setting, ideally teaching the British Curriculum to at least GCSE level, and have experience working with students aged 12 - 18 years.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high quality, inspiring German language lessons, learning, and curriculum development
- Plan & prepare courses for assigned timetabled classes and groups
- Monitor & track pupils’ achievements at regular intervals
- Keep up-to-date with subject development & take part in training as required
- Support the well-being of pupils
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree and recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching in an educational institute
- Experience teaching students aged 12 - 18 years
- Proficient in both spoken and written German to B2 level
- Understanding of the British curriculum preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
