ING is looking to recruit a Global Accessibility Centre of Expertise Lead, reporting to the Head of HR Operation Control within the COO People domain.
The Team
At ING’s Global Accessibility Centre of Expertise, we are working on making ING the most accessible bank in the world for our customers, employees and visitors. We do this by creating and managing (global) policies, creating awareness and education within ING, engage with external stakeholders, coordinate global projects and provide guidance on a wide range of accessibility topics.
By joining our CoE, you will become part of the network of likeminded professionals and stakeholders on accessibility throughout ING, like Enable, ING’s Disability Inclusion employee network/ERG, Risk, Tech and business experts.
Roles and responsibilities
The Global Accessibility CoE lead is tasked to drive the accessibility topic; advising and supporting international, multidisciplinary teams on the application of accessibility for our 48 million customers and 60.000 colleagues, in close cooperation with global and local stakeholders.
This role leads a team of experts with a focus on establishing, enforcing, safeguarding, and evolving accessibility controls, standards, instructions, and quality criteria used to drive accessibility in support of ING customers and employees. Resulting in not only being regulatory compliant but also placing ING at the pinnacle of accessibility in the view of internal and external stakeholders.
As a people manager, this role provides guidance, directives, and development to build skills and expertise in alignment with organizational and department goals and targets.
This role also steers a global network organisation on accessibility, connecting with global, local and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities are:
Provide strategic direction on Accessibility topic and identify priorities on short, medium and longer term.
Assuring accessibility principles are injected in product/services/channel design and development within the expert’s domains
Guard accessibility policies, standards, and risks and advice senior management on proper updates
Identify gaps in prerequisites and/or targets on domain and country level
Drive execution and delivery of selected projects in close collaboration with the accessibility family members, to achieve those targets
Host and set the agenda for the Global Accessibility SteerCo
Retain the CoE as a structured department with clear focus, mandate and craftmanship
Manage and steer the international accessibility communities, in close interaction with global and local stakeholders
Create and extend accessibility awareness and education within ING
Represent ING externally on accessibility matters

A Master’s degree preferably in Human Resources, Economics or Business Management
+10 years’ experience in Digital Transformation, Digital and/or Workplace Accessibility, and/or process improvement initiatives
+10 years’ experience in leading a cross-functional team
General transformation experience in a global and complex environment
Knows how to drive operational excellence
Experience in international accessibility environment is a plus
Competencies

Manoeuvres comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics
Ability to translate strategy into actions
