Government Account Executive, NLJob Description
The Role
We are looking for a driven and strategic sales professional to join our SUSE Benelux team, with a specific focus on public sector organisations in The Netherlands. This is a unique opportunity to grow SUSE’s footprint in one of our most high-potential segments: Dutch government entities.
With increasing momentum around digital sovereignty, security, and European control over digital infrastructure, SUSE’s open source and European-rooted offering is more relevant than ever. As governments accelerate cloud adoption, modernise legacy systems, and reduce dependency on non-European tech, SUSE is uniquely positioned to support that transformation and you’ll be at the centre of that shift.
In this role, you will:
Own and expand a portfolio of Dutch government accounts, developing long-term strategic partnerships.
Identify and close new public sector business opportunities, navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.
Position SUSE’s solutions: including Multi-Linux management, container platforms, and security tooling as core enablers of digital sovereignty and compliance.
Work closely with inside sales, solution architects, marketing, and partners to build targeted campaigns and value-based messaging for public organisations.
Represent SUSE at public sector events and industry forums, building relationships and visibility across key institutions.
Translate strategic national digital objectives into actionable sales opportunities.
Contribute to the Dutch go-to-market strategy and public sector value proposition, helping shape our role in one of SUSE’s most strategically important markets.
You will be supported by an experienced and diverse team across EMEA and will play a key role in SUSE’s fastest-growing region.
- Familiarity with the Dutch and Benelux IT market
- Fluent Dutch language
- Experience in B2B software sales or business development
- Knowledge of open-source software approaches and related commercial models
- Understanding of mission critical infrastructure structures
- Interested in Digital Sovereignty and current geopolitical situation
- Experience with selling Kubernetes or other cloud-native software solutions
- Having contacts within Government and/or FSI sectors
- Experience from working with value based selling
- Previous experience using MEDDPICC
