Job Description
We are seeking a Group Controller Accounting & Reporting to join our Accounting team.
As Group Controller Accounting & Reporting, you will play a critical role in delivering consolidated financial management information to both internal and external stakeholders. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, international organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare consolidated and standalone financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
Provide input and support on complex accounting topics at both corporate/consolidated and regional entity levels.
Manage identification, classification, and recording of IFRS 16 lease arrangements.
Oversee the corporate cost center reporting process, including actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
Prepare and review consolidation entries and statements; conduct variance analyses and assist in resolving intercompany discrepancies.
Validate data input and ensure the provision of accurate, timely consolidated management information to key stakeholders.
Participate in internal and external audit processes and coordinate the provision of required documentation.
Contribute to the ESG reporting process to the parent company.
Collaborate with the Group Accounting and Reporting Manager and other stakeholders to continuously improve reporting and accounting processes.
Provide financial data and analytical support to internal departments such as HR and Tax.
Participate in ad hoc finance-related projects as needed.
Supervise and manage the daily activities and performance of the Group Accountant (1 FTE).
Proven expertise in financial consolidation and external/internal reporting under IFRS, with specific experience in IFRS 16.Strong financial background with hands-on experience in accounting, consolidation, and reporting processes.
Experience in a similar role, preferably within the maritime, logistics, or capital-intensive industries.
Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Qlik is an advantage.
Strong understanding of financial systems, master data governance, and data accuracy in reporting environments.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively across departments and geographies.
Analytical and detail-oriented, with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
